1.3 Your continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of any changes made.

2. Products and Orders

2.1 Our products are handmade and may vary slightly in appearance.

2.2 All orders are subject to availability. If an item is unavailable, we will notify you as soon as possible.

2.3 We reserve the right to refuse any order for any reason.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 All prices are listed in GBP and are subject to change without notice.

3.2 Payments must be made in full at the time of ordering.

3.3 We accept payments via Stripe.

4. Delivery and Collection

Delivery Policy

4.1 We currently deliver within the UK only. Bakes are dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked 24, estimated to arrive 1-2 days from the date of dispatch.

4.2 Orders must be placed in advance, and dispatch or collection dates must be requested at checkout.

4.3 We cannot guarantee exact delivery dates as they depend on postal services, but we always aim to dispatch on your requested dispatch date or prepare your order for your requested collection date and will let you know when this is not the case.

Receiving Your Order

4.4 Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We are not responsible for delays or losses due to incorrect addresses.

4.5 If your parcel is marked as ‘delivered’ by Royal Mail but you have not received it, please check with your neighbours or local sorting office.

4.6 If your parcel is returned due to an incorrect address or non-collection, redelivery charges will apply.
4.7 We do not offer refunds for delays caused by Royal Mail, but we will assist in tracking and resolving issues where possible.

4.8 If your order arrives damaged, please email us with photos within 24 hours of receipt so we can assist you.
Collection Policy

4.9 Free Collection from Milton Keynes – Collection is available from our home bakery. Exact collection details will be provided after your order is placed.
4.10 Please arrive at the agreed-upon time to collect your order.

4.11 If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

5. Refunds, Returns and Cancellations

5.1 We understand that plans change! If you cancel 7 or more days in advance of your dispatch or collection date, we may be able to offer a full refund. Refunds take 5-10 business days to process.
5.2 We may be unable to cancel orders less than 7 days in advance of your dispatch or collection date if we have already started preparing your order.
5.3 Where we cannot offer refunds, we will try our best to offer vouchers for our online store as your custom is important to us.
5.4 Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns.
5.5 If you are unsatisfied with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package.

5.6 Refunds or replacements are issued at our discretion.

6. Allergies and Dietary Requirements

6.1 Ingredient details for our products can be found on our website and packaging. If you place an order for a product or products with customisation available or one of our mystery products, for your own assurance, we urge you to request the specific ingredients list at checkout as this is subject to change. We will send the current ingredients of your products in your order too.

6.2 We cannot guarantee that our products are free from trace amounts of allergens. Our kitchen handles WHEAT, SOYA, and NUTS as ingredients and, due to the home bakery nature of the business, we cannot guarantee there is no cross-contamination of OTHER ALLERGENS. For example, while we do not use MILK or EGG as specific ingredients due to our vegan approach, some ingredients may be manufactured in facilities that process these allergens.
6.3 For this reason, our products are NOT SUITABLE for allergy sufferers.

6.4 It is your responsibility to review ingredient information before purchasing and upon receipt.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Cakes and Chai and may not be used without permission.

7.2 Unauthorised use of our content may result in legal action.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products.

8.2 Our liability is limited to the cost of the product purchased.
